91. Repentance for Sin

Isa. 55:6-7; Acts 3:19; Luke 15:18-24; Isa. 1:18

Leader reads the plain lines; the congregation reads the bold lines.

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:

And let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.

And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.

Come now, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
