77. The Lord's Day

Ex. 20:8-11; Mark 2:27-28; 16:1-2, 5-6; John 20:19; Rev. 1:5-6

Leader reads the plain lines; the congregation reads the bold lines.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work.

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

And the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
