52. The Christian View of Trouble
Rom. 8:18, 26, 28-30; 2 Cor. 1:3-4; 4:17-18
Leader reads the plain lines; the congregation reads the bold lines.
I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
The Spirit helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: For the things which are seen are temporal:
But the things which are not seen are eternal.
