Christ Who Welcomed Little Children

1. Christ who welcomed little children
To Thine arms in Galilee,
Lovingly we bring this baby
That he too be blessed by Thee.

2. Lord, accept the parents' praises.
Help them to Thy grace divine;
May their tender care and nurture
Train and lead him to be Thine.

3. In their home may thine own presence
Guide and guard from day to day,
Filling life with love and gladness
Throughout all his childhood's way.

4. Then in strength of mind and body
May he own Thee Lord and King,
Tread the paths of
Christian service,
All his heart's allegiance bring.

5. Christ who welcomes little children
Bid this baby welcome too.
May Thy mighty arms protect him
All life's varied journey through.
Amen.
