66. The Nation
Psalm 78:1; Prov. 14:34; Deut. 8:18-20; Amos 5:24, 15; Psalm 33:12
Leader reads the plain lines; the congregation reads the bold lines.
Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
Thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.
And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
